The link to the Glutton's bacon review was what got me to Uncommon Ground last saturday to try the Neuski's peppercorn bacon. It was phenomenal! Gluttons crack me up and also get me to try new things. I've read all their posts, and always look forward to them. Thanks Michael for this writeup and thanks Gluttons!

the fact timeout used a CG piece and is now doing a piece on CG validates like the upper classmen who just realized their not as cool as they thought they were, or as hip as the under classmen. Its also ironic a person w/ a pretentious name like Heather would find them juvenile yet funny. But how could foodies be their enemies aside from the smug reviewers that make food unaproachable, when they are too?

Way to go CG and screw that Heather Shouse and Gary Wiviott, they don't know from good!

CG is some of the funniest shit I've ever read and their food recommendations are what their friends look to for good eats.

I've always been a fan of "not taking yourself too seriously" so I'm a fan of this writing style. This site in particular definitely puts an emphasis on profanity like Restaurant Whore for example and some people love the shock value. Having a bit of a sailor mouth myself I just kind of glaze over the profanity and appreciate the overall take on the subject (whether I agree with it or not). To me, it's another personality telling stories about things that I like.
